I have heard Jay speak for about 5 years at conferences regarding the hiring process. Over the years I have implemented his suggestions. But when Jay announced this book, I purchased to see if there was more to learn about the hiring process because there were 3 positions available in the office. Was there anything else I should be doing when reviewing 300 resumes; was I being too picky, critical, etc.?

There were not many applicants for one positions advertised and found myself starting to get desperate. So lowering my standards and reaching out to a few candidates(had good looking resumes but had not sent a cover letter or followed the directions in the job posting), but kept getting burned. (Scheduled several phone interviews and then they would not call).

After reading this book I realized how to ask different questions during the interview process and what the answers really meant. This was the step I had been missing.
